The World Unite Festival (WU Fest) is coming to celebrate the diversity of Leeds. To capture the breadth of cultures in Leeds, the festival will offer a great selection of activities, including singing, dancing, language exchanges, workshops, food, academic presentations and discussions. Each event will encourage you to consider differing perspectives on a variety of topics relevant to internationalisation.

This year, we will be celebrating WU Fest in both Term 1 and Term 2. Our Spring WU will be hosted between Monday 4th March to Friday 8th March.

Some key events in the WU Fest diary are:

  • WU Fest Open Mic Night

  • Global Infusions: Tea from around the world

  • International karaoke night

  • WU Fruity with a K-pop room

  • Themed menus in our cafes and food vendors

How to get involved

Getting involved as a club or a society

Clubs and societies are invited to host Give It A Go style events and workshops, such as dance classes, language exchanges and pub quizzes. Student societies will be rewarded with up to £50 incentive funding.

Funding is also available to cover the costs of running your activities.

Please get in touch using this form for event proposals and this form for Show of Unity performances or stalls- if you would like to get involved.
