We're so excited to announce that both The Riley Awards and Sports Colours Award nominations are open FROM TODAY! The Riley Awards and Sports Colours Awards are two of the events that make up our Celebrate month calendar! So, what are they?

The Riley Awards.

With more than 300 clubs and societies doing great things here at LUU, the Riley Awards – which celebrate the very best of our student groups – are a pretty big deal. Often nicknamed the LUU Oscars, these prestigious awards are presented to the clubs and societies that represent everything that’s great about students at the University of Leeds.

The Riley Awards will be on the 26th of April 2024.

Nominations are open today and will close on the 14th of March 2024. You can nominate and find more information about the awards here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bUcpo3ricClltwfEEL7clndaXNz00kGn/view?usp=drive_link

Colours Awards Nominations

The Colours Awards 2024 is the night to highlight the wonderful Gryphon Sports, Dance, Martial arts and Outdoor clubs we have here at LUU. This year’s awards will take place on 8 May in the Riley Smith Theatre.

We come together on the night to recognise and celebrate the incredible efforts of our students, teams, volunteers, coaches and everyone involved in our Leeds Sport clubs. Whether they’ve been awesome on the pitch, or made a difference off it, this is your chance to say thanks and recognise them for their achievements.

We are very excited to announce that nominations for this year's Gryphon colours awards are now open! Here are the descriptions and criteria for each award and here is the nominations form.

The colours awards is open to all Gryphon Sports, Dance, Martial Arts and Outdoor clubs and the night is there to celebrate and recognise the achievements of all those involved in these activities.

The awards will take place on Wednesday 8th May so keep the date free!
